A few years ago I had a dream that I was getting on a train and people were giving me a lot of cash. Then, I got on the train and traveled to some unknown location. Last year, the Lord spoke to someone at my church about me, and she saw a vision of me on a locomotive train. She saw that God was taking me to new places, and that He would provide lots of cash for me to get there.
Just recently, I started a side job where I’ll be working on a locomotive train. The coolest thing about all this, is that I completely forgot about my dream about the locomotive train when I applied for my current side job, so I believe this is another prophetic revelation of something big and new that God is getting ready to do in my life.
I believe that this dream/vision isn’t just about me, but I believe that it’s prophetic for those of us who are believing God for a change in our lives, which we should all be believing for.
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland (Isaiah 43:19).
For those of you who know my story, you know that over the past few years, God has been doing a lot of new things in my life, so you may ask yourself, “How can God always be doing a new thing? Surely everyone has to do work they don’t like that doesn’t change: laundry, clean the bathroom, pay bills, do taxes, etc.”
I believe there will always be boring parts of life during our adventure with God. With that being said, every single day we have a choice to renew our minds and become even more like the person God created us to be.
It’s not everyday I’m going to be getting on a locomotive train, going to Africa, or seeing Jesus heal blind eyes (which I’ve seen them all happen in the past), but every single day something new can happen in our hearts when we choose to always obey God.
If whenever people ask you, “what’s new?” And you seriously can’t think of anything new, it could be because you’re either not being obedient to what God told to you do, which is why your life is boring, or you forgot about all the seemingly little things God has been doing in your heart lately.
God is always doing a new thing in you and through you as long as you’re being obedient to Him. Whether or not that new thing He’s doing in you looks cool and amazing to other people doesn’t matter at all. When we’re willing to let God do new things in and through us, that’s when our dreams become a reality. The reason God gives us hope and fulfills our dreams is so that we can extend our hope to people who lack what we have.
